"Travels Through Gaming" is currently focused on creating primarily shorter form content. That includes retrospectives, features and showcase reels. Between work and family commitments I am not currently able to work on full game guides. However, it is something I would like to work on in the future.
HOW OFTEN DO I UPDATE THE SITE WITH NEW CONTENT?
I try to add new content, whether it's a retrospective or showcase reel on a weekly basis. I also try to keep the site updated with reviews, features and other content on a semi-regular basis. So check back now and again to see what's changed and what's new!
I’M A BEGINNER GAMER – CAN YOU RECOMMEND SOME GAMES TO START WITH?
It depends what era of gaming you're into and what your favourite genres are. I'm a big fan of SNES RPGs, so Chrono Trigger and the Secret of Mana are must plays. And those are just the tip of the iceberg! The NES has Super Mario Bros. The Megadrive has Sonic the Hedgehog. The PS1 has Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Metal Gear Solid. The PS2 has the Burnout Games. The PS3 has God of War 1-3 and Demon's Souls. The PS4 has the remastered Dark Souls trilogy. So it all depends on your likes and preferences. If you need help deciding, just drop us a line! I'm more than happy to help out!
WHAT SORT OF CONTENT CAN YOU EXPECT ON THIS SITE?
At the moment, I am focused on creating reviews, restrospectives and showcase reels. In future you can expect live streams, more reviews and features as well as other exciting content. Retro gaming will be a biggest part of this website, although I'll also be highlighting current games from time to time.
